The Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit (SAU) is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred Monday evening.
On August 12, 2024 at approximately 6:00 p.m. police were called to the 2900 block of 21st Street West for a report of an injured person. Call details stated the complainant was stabbed.
Upon arrival, the suspects had already fled the scene and officers located and spoke with the 59-year-old male victim; he told officers that he had been in a physical altercation with one of the suspects when a second male began assaulting him. The victim stated one of the males used a golf club.
The man was treated by paramedics on scene for injuries consistent with a stab wound before being transferred to hospital with what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim described the first suspect as male, wearing light clothing, a backpack, possibly a grey tank top, and grey sweatpants. He described the second suspect as a shorter male wearing dark clothing and possibly a ball cap.
