Traffic restrictions have been removed in the area of Central Avenue and 103rd Street East following a police presence.
At approximately 3:40 p.m. on August 19, 2024, police received a report of an unknown problem in the area of Central Avenue and 103rd Street East. Further updates stated a female in a vehicle may be in possession of a weapon.
Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle with the woman inside; using a loud hailer, the woman was called from the vehicle. She was taken into custody without further incident. A search of the vehicle resulted in officers locating and seizing two imitation firearms.
Police are continuing to investigate.

Police are responding to an ongoing incident in the area of Central Avenue and 103rd Street East.
There is a significant police presence as a result and traffic restrictions are in place. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
