One man has been arrested following a report of a firearm being pointed at another person yesterday.

At around 7:45 a.m. on August 28, 2024, police responded to the 100 block of Avenue W South for a report of a man pointing a firearm at another person. Arriving officers located a man matching the suspect’s description at an establishment on the corner of 22nd Street West and Avenue W South; a search of his person found an imitation sawed-off shotgun and false identity documents.

As a result, the 25-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and possession of false identity documents.
