Two youths are facing charges following an aggravated assault Friday night.

On September 13, 2024 at approximately 10:10 p.m. police were called to the corner of Avenue Q South and 19th Street West for a report of an assault in progress. Initial call information stated a group of teenagers were attacking someone.

Upon arrival, officers located a 54-year-old man suffering from what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The man was transported to hospital for further treatment.

Upon further investigation, officers attended to a residence in the 400 block of Avenue Q South where it was believed the suspects had entered. As a result, a 15-year-old male and a 14-year-old female were arrested.

The 15-year-old male is facing charges relating to aggravated assault, and failure to comply with court ordered conditions. The 14-year-old is facing charges relating to breaching court ordered conditions.
