The Saskatoon Police Service Collision Analyst Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Monday evening.
On September 16, 2024 at approximately 7:20 p.m. police were called to Highway 5 and Highway 41 for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving injuries. Initial information stated it was a two-vehicle collision involving a truck and an SUV.
Upon arrival, officers attended to the female driver of the SUV who appeared to be suffering from life-threatening injuries. Officers extracted the driver from the vehicle and CPR was conducted while waiting for paramedics to arrive. The 54-year-old woman was then transported to hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Officers also spoke with the driver of the truck who was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. He did not wish to receive any further medical care.
The Collision Analyst Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstance of this collision.
Saskatoon Police are investigating a collision that occurred earlier this evening at the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 5.
One person has been transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Traffic restrictions in all directions are in place as the SPS Collision Analyst Unit investigates.
