UPDATE: Homicide - 200 Block Avenue I South

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section has made an additional arrest and laid more charges following continued investigation into a homicide that occurred in August.

On November 12, 2024, investigators attended to a correctional facility in Saskatoon and effected the arrest of a 37-year-old man for indecently interfering with and offering an indignity to human remains; he had previously been charged with the second-degree murder of Jordan Lee Morin. On this same day, investigators arrested a 28-year-old man from the same correctional facility in relation to this investigation; he has been charged with the second-degree murder of Jordan Lee Morin.

Both men appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court this morning.

Another woman has been charged in relation to the homicide that occurred August 16, 2024.

On September 16, 2024, police arrested and charged a 27-year-old Saskatoon woman for being accessory after the fact to murder. The woman was also charged with indecently interfere with and offer indignity to human remains.

The woman made her first court appearance yesterday.

Two people are now facing charges in relation to Saskatoon’s 12th homicide of 2024.

On August 16, 2024 police attended to a residence in the 200 block of Avenue I South in response to information of an injured person.

Upon arrival, when officers were engaging with the occupants of the home, human remains were located on the property. At that time, the occupants of the home were taken into custody for a homicide investigation.

As a result, a 37-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with 2nd degree murder, and a 24-year-old Saskatoon woman is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Next of kin has been notified and the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Jordan Lee Morin.
