Four people are facing charges after evading police early Thursday morning.
On September 26, 2024 at approximately 12:05 a.m. police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had a license plate which did not match the vehicle at 22nd Street West and Avenue I South. The vehicle began to flee, attempting to evade police.
Officers were able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device at 22nd Street West and Dalmeny Road; however, the vehicle continued Westbound on Highway 14.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted and the four occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.
As a result, a 22-year-old woman, 26-year-old man, 31-year-old woman, and a 21-year-old woman are facing charges relating to possession of stolen property under $5000, and failure to comply with court ordered conditions. The 21-year-old woman is also facing charges relating to dangerous driving, and evading police.
