Update - Police Presence - 100 Block Of Q S And 1600 Block 22nd St. W

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection to stabbings that occurred on September 18th and September 23rd.

On September 28, 2024, police observed a wanted suspect in the 1600 block of 22nd Street West. A perimeter was quickly set up around the residence and police were able to contact the suspect. At approximately 2:45 p.m., officers were able to get the suspect to surrender without further incident.

A 24-year-old man was arrested and has currently been charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Failing to Comply with a Court Order.

The Saskatoon Police Service has cleared the scene of the incident that occurred this afternoon.

The Saskatoon Police Service currently has an increased presence on the south side of the 22nd St W and Ave Q S intersection.  There are some traffic restrictions in place.  Pedestrians and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible and otherwise expect delays.  Please follow Police instruction if travelling nearby.
