Bear Spray Incidents

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service responded to a number of bear spray incidents on Wednesday.

On October 2, 2024 at approximately 3:20 p.m. police were called to the 2100 block of 22nd Street West for a report of an injured person. Initial information stated a male was bear sprayed.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from the effects of bear spray; he was treated by paramedics on scene.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrival.

At approximately 5:40 p.m. on the same day, police were called to the 1300 block of 22nd Street West for a report of an individual being bear sprayed.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from the effects of bear spray. The male victim did not wish to receive medical care.

The suspect(s) had fled the scene before police arrival.

At around 11:30 that night, police received a report of an injured person in the 300 block of Avenue C South. Initial call information stated a female had been bear sprayed.

Upon arrival, officers located a woman suffering from the effects of bear spray; she told officers it happened near the basketball courts by the river. She victim did not wish to be treated by paramedics.
