One woman is recovering following an assault that occurred Sunday morning.

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on November 24, 2024, police received a report of a domestic disturbance in progress in the 500 block of Avenue S South where a woman was injured.

Arriving officers located the woman as she was receiving medical attention from paramedics. Investigations determined the male suspect had cut the woman twice and punched another male before fleeing the scene. The man was located in the 300 block of Avenue S South shortly after and arrested without incident.

As a result, the 33-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon. He was also found to be breaching his court ordered conditions.
