A 39-year-old woman is facing charges following a report of someone armed with a knife and threatening people.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., December 2, 2024, Police were called to a residence in the 600 block of Confederation Drive. It was reported that a woman was threatening people at the address with a knife. Upon arrival, officers located the female suspect and took her into custody. At the same time, a second call for service came in regarding an injured woman in the 100 block of Confederation Drive. Police responded, located a woman suffering from stab wounds and determined that it was related to the same incident. The injured woman was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The 39-year-old woman is charged with Assault With a Weapon (x2), Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of Methamphetamine.
