Two men are facing drug and firearm related charges after a traffic stop on Tuesday.

On December 3, 2024, at around 2:00 p.m., SPS Communications received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers stopped a vehicle matching the description near the intersection of Briarwood Road and Blackthorn Crescent. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for outstanding warrants, he was also found to be in possession of a switch blade. The passenger of the vehicle was also arrested for breach of conditions. A subsequent search found he was carrying a handgun in his jacket pocket. Officers also discovered he was in possession of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Fentanyl.

A 37-year-old man faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance x 3 (Cocaine, Fentanyl, Methamphetamine), Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Breach of Conditions x 3.

A 32-year-old man faces charges of Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited and Breach of Conditions.
