UPDATE: Homicide - 1700 Block 22nd Street West

Saskatoon Police Major Crime investigators have charged an additional person in connection to the 2024 homicide of 30-year-old Tim Tootoosis.

Yesterday morning, a 26-year-old female was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder, Offering an Indignity to Human Remains, and Unlawful Confinement. She is the 10th person to be charged.

The SPS Warrent Enforcement Unit assisted in the arrest of four of the accused.

An additional woman has been arrested and charged in connection to a 2024 homicide.

On December 4, 2025, members of the Warrant Enforcement Unit effected the arrest of a 26-year-old woman wanted in connection to a 2024 homicide. Investigators with the Major Crime Section have since charged her with first degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.

She remains in custody pending her first court appearance on the morning of December 5, 2025.

The Saskatoon Police Service would like to apologize and correct the spelling in yesterday's media release.

On November 20, 2025, 39-year-old Rodrick Pierre Rabbitskin was arrested in Saskatoon and charged with first degree murder and unlawful confinement in relation to a 2024 homicide. 

He has since appeared in court and was remanded into custody pending his next appearance.

Investigators with the Major Crime Section have arrested another man in connection to a 2024 homicide.

On November 20, 2025, 38-year-old Roderick Rabbitskin was arrested in Saskatoon and charged with first degree murder and unlawful confinement.

He has since appeared in court and was remanded into custody pending his next appearance.

Two women have been arrested and charged in connection to a 2024 homicide.

On November 19, 2025, 43-year-old Destini Gardypie and 34-year-old Nakita Tootoosis were arrested by members of the Saskatchewan RCMP on outstanding warrants issued by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) in relation to a 2024 homicide. Both were later transported to Saskatoon and arrested into the custody of the SPS. Gardypie has been charged with first degree murder and unlawful confinement. Tootoosis has been charged with manslaughter.

Both women have since appeared in court and were remanded into custody pending their next appearance.

Investigators with the Major Crime Section have arrested and charged two more people in connection to a 2024 homicide.

On November 14, 2025 and November 17, 2025, 22-year-old Emmery Aubichon and 45-year-old Vernon Peequaquat were arrested in Saskatoon and have each been charged with first degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.

Both men have since appeared in court and were remanded into custody pending their next appearance.

Police have arrested and charged three people in connection to a 2024 homicide.

On November 6, 2025, 41-year-old Donovan Lemstra was arrested by members of the Calgary Police Service in Calgary, AB on an outstanding warrant issued by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) in relation to this homicide. He was later transported back to Saskatoon and arrested into the custody of the SPS on November 10, 2025. Lemstra has been charged with first degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.

On November 12, 2025 and November 13, 2025, 40-year-old Michael Landry and 27-year-old Michael McCallum were arrested by the SPS in Saskatoon and have each been charged with first degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.

All three men have since appeared in court and were remanded into custody pending their next appearance.

Police are continuing to investigate the city’s 15th homicide.

At around 7:30 p.m. on December 18, 2024, members of the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, were executing a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West. Upon entering the residence, officers located a deceased male. Three men and one woman were taken into police custody for further questioning but were later released without charges.

Members of the Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information believed to be relevant to the investigation is asked to call police directly at 306-975-8300 or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The Saskatoon Police are investigating the city's 15th homicide that occurred in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West.

The Major Crime Section along with the Forensic Identification Section is continuing to gather evidence and no further details will be released at this time.
