A man is facing charges after police responded to a weapons complaint over the weekend.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., March 1, 2025, patrol officers responded to a business in the 3000 block of Diefenbaker Drive after it was reported a man armed with a knife, was refusing to leave. Further investigation revealed the suspect did eventually leave the store, and entered a parked vehicle nearby. When police arrived, the man exited the vehicle holding a knife and approached officers in a threatening manner. He was taken into custody following a brief physical altercation and found to be in possession of two knives.

No one was injured in this incident.

A 25-year-old man is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x2), Carrying Concealed Weapon (x2), Assaulting a Police Officer with a Weapon, and Assault with a Weapon. (Court Info # 991296358)
