One woman has been arrested following as assault on Friday afternoon.

At around 4:30 p.m. on March 7, 2025, police were called to an establishment in the 900 block of 22nd Street West for a report of an assault-in-progress. Upon police arrival, a woman was observed making threatening advancements towards another woman with what appeared to be a homemade conducted energy weapon (CEW). Following police commands, the suspect was taken into custody and the homemade CEW was seized.

As a result, the 37-year-old Saskatoon woman was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon for the purpose of an offence, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon without a license.
