A Saskatoon teen is facing weapons charges following an incident Friday afternoon.

On January 10, 2025 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Patrol was dispatched to a restaurant in the 1400 block of 22nd Street West. The caller stated that an individual had threatened people inside while wielding a machete. The suspect, along with three other individuals, fled the scene prior to Police arrival. Officers with the Guns and Gangs Unit arrested four suspects matching the suspect’s description near Avenue O and 21st Street West. One suspect was observed with a machete in his waistband, which was seized by officers. No injuries resulted from this incident.

A 17-year-old male is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
