Five people have been charged with drug- and weapons-related offences following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Crime Reduction Team (CRT).
On March 14, 2025, CRT investigators conducted enforcement action regarding a drug trafficking investigation. With the assistance of the SPS Tactical Support Unit (TSU) and investigators from the Guns & Gangs Unit, an adult male and female were take into custody following a traffic stop in the 10 block of Sturby Place; cash, cocaine, fentanyl, GHB, and methamphetamine were located upon arrest. A short time later, a female was taken into custody in the 1000 block of 23rd Street West; a replica airsoft pistol and fentanyl were located upon arrest. A male was then arrested from inside a mall in the 3300 block of 8th Street East; cash, cocaine, and a gold bar were located upon arrest. TSU then executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of 23rd Street West.
As a result, investigators seized a total of:
- 58.8 grams fentanyl (blue/green)
- 297.5 grams cocaine powder
- 18.6 grams methamphetamine
- $8,515 cash
- Gold bar valued at $4,490
- 475 ml GHB
- Loaded, sawed off 12-gauge shotgun
- Three air soft pistols
- Illegal cigarettes
- Various rounds of loose ammunition
- Other weapons, including bear spray, cross bow/arrows, compound bow/arrows, batons, knives, and a conducted energy weapon
- Other indicia consistent with drug trafficking
Three men, ages 35, 37, and 41, and two women, ages 24 and 27, are facing a combined total of 26 charges.
