Four people are facing firearm-related charges following a traffic stop, last night.
On April 6, 2025, at 10:30 p.m., Patrol officers observed a suspicious vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted near 22nd Street West and Diefenbaker Driver. Four occupants were observed inside the vehicle. A rear passenger was seen attempting to conceal a firearm. All four individuals were subsequently arrested from the vehicle. Police located a rifle and ammunition, two machetes, bear spray and brass knuckles in the possession of the arrested individuals and inside the vehicle.
A 17-year-old male from Prince Albert, Sk is facing six firearm-related offences in addition to Carry a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Breach of Release.
A 27-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (x4), Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle and Breach of Release.
A 28-year-old Saskatoon woman is charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle.
A 23-year-old woman from Sturgeon Lake First Nation is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Carry a Concealed Weapon.
