A man is facing charges after being found in possession of a loaded firearm over the weekend.

At approximately 7:00 a.m., April 13, 2025, SPS Communications received two reports of an armed individual walking eastbound on Attridge Drive from Circle Drive. When police arrived, they located an abandoned SUV at the intersection of Attridge Drive and Circle Drive. Nearby, they found a man lying on the ground, uninjured, and in possession of a firearm that was later determined to be loaded. The man did not obey police commands, and due to the presence of the firearm, a less lethal weapon was utilized to take the man into custody. He was transported to hospital for assessment of his injuries.

A 46-year-old man is facing five firearms-related charges. (Court Info # 991300250)
