A man is facing charges after police responded to a weapons complaint on Saturday.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., April 19, 2025, patrol officers responded to a report of a man waving a firearm in a parking lot in the 1700 block of Preston Avenue North. The suspect was located but refused to cooperate with responding officers; a conducted energy weapon was successfully deployed to take him into custody.
Upon his arrest, the 50-year-old man was found to be in possession of a replica handgun (loaded with CO2 and pellets), a can of bear spray, and a knife. He is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x3), Carrying Concealed Weapon (x3), and Possession of Prohibited Weapon.
