Arrest - Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation - Shaunavon

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Shaunavon man with child exploitation offences. In August of 2024, the Sask ICE Unit commenced an online investigation relating to child pornography.

On November 13, 2024, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit executed a Search Warrant at a home in Shaunavon. Electronic devices were examined on scene and seized by investigators.

As a result of the investigation, 52-year-old Brent Fitzpatrick of Shaunavon was charged on January 13, 2025 with the following:

1 Count of Possession of Child Pornography.

1 Count of Accessing Child Pornography.

Fitzpatrick appeared in court on January 13th and has been released on numerous conditions. His next court appearance is set for 10:00 am, March 6, 2025 in Shaunavon Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
