Saskatoon Police responded to several stabbings over the weekend.

25-56521: At approximately 11:15 a.m., April 26, 2025, patrol officers responded to a motel in the 700 block of Idylwyld Drive after a man reported having been assaulted by a man armed with a machete. Police responded and arrested a 43-year-old man; he is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm. The 32-year-old victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 25-57101: At approximately 1:45 p.m., April 27, 2025, police attended to hospital after a woman sought medical attention for several stab wounds. It was determined the incident had occurred at an apartment in the 300 block of Avenue R South.

25-57327: Then, shortly before 10:00 p.m., police attended to the 1300 block of 8th Street East for a 32-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound. Through further investigation, police learned the victim had reportedly been confined to a motel room and stabbed. She was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit is investigating.
