A female is facing charges for stabbing a man after attempting to steal items from a convenience store early this morning.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., April 29, 2025, police responded to a convenience store in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a woman who had called police to report she had stabbed a man. The victim, who was a store employee, had prevented her from leaving without paying for her items. A knife was seized and the 18-year-old female was taken into custody.

The 45-year-old victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The 18-year-old female is charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon. (Court Info # 991301796).
