Update - Arrest - Stabbing Investigation - 300 Block Queen Street

Members of the SPS Serious Assault Unit have laid charges following a stabbing investigation from March.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., March 27, 2025, patrol officers responded to an apartment building in the 300 block of Queen Street after a man was reportedly stabbed. Further investigation determined the man suffered a stab wound while inside a vehicle that was driving on Queen Street; the 52-year-old remains in hospital with serious injuries.

On April 30, 2025, police located and seized the vehicle, and a male suspect was identified. The 22-year-old man later turned himself in to police and is charged with Aggravated Assault and breaching court-imposed conditions. He also had outstanding warrants for his arrest. The Saskatoon Police Service Serious Assault Unit (SAU) is investigating after a man was stabbed yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., March 27, 2025, patrol officers responded to an apartment building in the 300 block of Queen Street after a man was reportedly stabbed.

Through further investigation, it was determined the victim had suffered a stab wound while inside a vehicle that was driving on Queen Street. The victim then exited the vehicle and went to an apartment building in the 300 block of Queen Street where police were called. The vehicle fled prior to police arrival; it is described as a dark-coloured sedan (a photo is attached).

The 52-year-old male victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
