Three people have been charged following a traffic stop early this morning.

At around 2:30 a.m. this morning, May 8, 2025, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1300 block of 33rd Street West. While speaking with the driver, officers observed open alcohol inside the vehicle. As officers began taking the four occupants into custody, three resisted arrest and one of those three assaulted a Constable. The fourth occupant did not resist and complied with the commands of officers. Continued investigation led to locating 66.52 grams of cocaine and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking inside the vehicle.

As a result, two men, age 30 and 45, and a 24-year-old woman are facing a combination of charges related to drug trafficking, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer. The 30-year-old man was also found to be breaching court-imposed conditions.
