Arrests: Drug Trafficking / Stolen Vehicle - ASU Assist - 400 Blk Ave. C N

Three people are facing drug trafficking charges after a stolen vehicle was stopped on Saturday.

On May 17, 2025, at around 11:00 p.m., police were dispatched to locate a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was located in the 400 block of Avenue C North and was found to have been reported stolen. A traffic stop was initiated with one passenger fleeing from the vehicle while the driver and another passenger were arrested. The passenger who fled the vehicle was spotted and tracked by the SPS Air Support Unit, until Patrol Officers were able to locate and bring him into custody.

A search of the vehicle recovered the following:

  • $23,135 cash
  • Methamphetamine: 129.79 grams
  • Numerous Codeine, Morphine, Hydromorphone pills or tablets
  • Paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking (scale, cellphones)

A 73-year-old man, a 67-year-old woman, and a 48-year-old-man are all facing charges of Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime over $5000.
