Aggravated Assault - Request For Public Assistance - 2nd Avenue South And 20th Street East

The Saskatoon Police Service is requesting public assistance in identifying three persons of interest in an assault investigation.

At around 3:45 a.m. on May 3, 2025, police were called to the area of 2nd Avenue South and 20th Street East for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds and the effects of bear spray. Through investigation, officers learned that the victim had been walking in the area when several persons that he did not know approached him and began stabbing and bear spraying him. He was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of what were determined to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators with the Serious Assault Unit have viewed video evidence of the incident and observed three persons of interest;

  1. Adult male; approximately 5’8” in height wearing a black hat, black jacket with white sleeves and black symbols, light purple hoodie, black sweat pants with a logo on the left thigh, black shoes, a back pack, and walking a mountain bike.
  2. Adult male; approximately 6’0” in height wearing a black hat with a white logo, black jacket, white hoodie with a large red logo, black pants, white Nike shoes with a white laces on one foot and black laces on the other.
  3. Adult male; wearing a black hat, black jacket with a white pattern, white shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and a black back pack.

Investigators are also interested in identifying and speaking to the driver of a white Toyota Tundra that the victim had asked to call police; this driver may have witnessed the incident and be able to provide information or additional video evidence to assist in the investigation.
