Two Saskatoon men are facing a number of drug and weapon-related charges following a traffic stop, last night.

At 11:00 p.m., May 26, 2025, Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying an unmatched licence plate in the 1300 block of 8th Street East. Upon making contact with the two vehicle occupants, officers observed open alcohol inside. The driver was found to be concealing a can of bear spray and explosive blasting caps. He was also in possession of methamphetamine, fentanyl and unstamped cigarettes. The passenger was also found to be in possession of unstamped cigarettes, a pipe and hydromorphone pills. Inside the vehicle, officers located and seized brass knuckles and ammunition,

A 39-year-old man was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance (x2).

A 48-year-old man was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and was released on an undertaking.

The pair were also issued tickets for unstamped tobacco.
