One man is facing various drug and weapon-related charges following a suspicious vehicle report to Police, last night.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., January 16, 2025, Patrol officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driving lane on 8th Street East near Broadway Avenue. When Police arrived, the driver and lone occupant of the van was observed asleep at the wheel. He was arrested as officers located an imitation handgun, two knives, brass knuckles, bear spray and an extendable baton inside the vehicle. After searching the vehicle further, Police located meth, fentanyl, cocaine, cannabis, cash and various other items consistent with drug trafficking. The driver was also found to be in possession of a glass pipe.

A 30-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine. He is also facing six charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and one charge of Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000.
