Weapon / Robbery Investigations

Police are investigating following two separate incidents that may involve the same suspects.

At around 9:00 a.m. on May 28, 2025, police received a report of a discharged weapon in the area of Wiggins Avenue South and College Drive. Upon further investigation, officers learned that a man had been stopped at a red light when two occupants from the vehicle in front of him exited their vehicle and discharged what is believed to be an imitation firearm at the victim’s windshield causing damage; the victim was not injured and did not know the suspects. The suspects fled in a white vehicle.

Later, at approximately 1:30 p.m. the same day, police received a report of a man being robbed by two suspects in the 500 block of 33rd Street West. The suspects then fled in a white vehicle. The victim may have known the suspects.

It is unknown if the incidents are related but police are continuing to investigate.
