Arrest - Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation - Regina

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Regina man with child exploitation offences. In February of 2025, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit commenced an online investigation relating to child exploitation.

On May 27, 2025, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Regina. Electronic devices were examined and seized by investigators.

As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Sandeep Kumar of Regina was charged on May 27th, 2025 with:

  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Making Available Child Pornography
  • Accessing Child Pornography

Kumar appeared in court on May 28th and has been released on numerous conditions. His next court appearance is set for June 11, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in Regina Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
