A second person has been arrested in connection to a homicide from June of this year.
On December 3, 2025, a 39-year-old man was arrested in connection to the homicide of 31-year-old Chad Romanski. He is charged with First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, Assault with a Weapon, Intentionally Discharge a Firearm to Wound, Intentionally Discharge a Firearm while being Reckless, Utter Threats to Cause Death, Indecently Interfere with and Offer Indignity to Human Remains, Prohibited Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited Possession of Ammunition, and breaching court-imposed conditions. He is the second person to be charged in connection to this homicide, and will appear in court tomorrow morning.

Investigators have charged a man in connection to a homicide earlier this year.
On December 2, 2025, members of the SPS’ Warrant Enforcement Unit arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to the homicide of Chad Romanski. He has since been charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, and first-degree murder. He will make his first court appearance at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, December 3, 2025.

Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section, in conjunction with the Forensic Identification Section and the Office of the Chief Coroner, can now confirm the identity of the human remains located on June 4, 2025, near Highway 7.
The remains have been identified as 31-year-old, Chad Romanski of Saskatoon. Following a forensic examination and investigation, the circumstances surrounding his death are being treated as a homicide.
The Saskatoon Police Service is continuing its investigation and urges anyone with information related to Chad Romanski or his recent whereabouts, to contact police at (306) 975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section, in collaboration with the SPS Forensic Identification Section and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is investigating the discovery of human remains located off Highway 7 west of Saskatoon.
The remains were located earlier today, June 4, 2025. Investigators secured the scene and began a coordinated investigation with forensic specialists and the Coroners Service.
At this time, the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the discovery, and whether foul play is involved.
A post-mortem examination will be scheduled by the Coroners Service as part of the ongoing investigation.
