Members of the SPS Serious Assault Unit are investigating, following a report of an injured man in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 14, 2025.

At approximately 4:15 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of McPherson Avenue where a man was found outside, suffering from injuries including a serious stab wound. The male was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. Further investigation showed the stabbing may have occurred in a nearby clearing on the riverbank.

It is believed the incident was not random in nature.
