One man has been arrested following a report of a hit and run yesterday morning.

At around 7:30 a.m. on July 23, 2025, police were called to the area of Avenue C North and 39th Street West for a report of a hit and run involving an injured person. Upon arrival to the area, officers learned that a man had been dragged by a vehicle while attempting to stop it from being stolen; in the process, the vehicle struck multiple uninvolved parked vehicles before the suspect struck another vehicle in the 1700 block of Avenue G North and fled on foot. The male suspect was located in the 1200 block of Avenue J North a short time later and, following a brief struggle, was subsequently arrested.

As a result, the 22-year-old Meadow Lake, SK man was charged with robbery, operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner, and mischief under $5000.
