Charges Laid - Mischief - 8th Street East And Emerson Avenue

A 40 year old Saskatoon man is facing a charge of Mischief following an incident during a protest held yesterday.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., July 27, 2025, Police were called to the intersection of 8th Street East and Emerson Avenue where they located a man in a truck with exterior damage. The driver, along with several witnesses, reported that a the truck was attempting to enter a parking lot at the intersection when a man blocked it's travel and began striking the vehicle with a flag pole. The male was located nearby and arrested. He was later released on an Undertaking with a future court date.

The SPS plans to have a visible presence at future protests. As a service we regularly share the following information with the public and protest groups;
