The Saskatoon Police Missing Persons Unit (MPU) has determined the identity of a man found deceased in the South Saskatchewan River in June.
Foul play is not suspected in the death and his family has been notified.
The MPU worked closely with the Forensic Identification Unit, Saskatchewan Coroners Service and Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The SPS would also like to thank the public and other law enforcement agencies. Our service has received tips and inquiries from across Canada and the United States in our attempts to determine identity.

Saskatoon Police investigators are continuing efforts to identify an individual who was located deceased in the South Saskatchewan River on June 22, 2025.
With assistance from the RCMP, a forensic composite sketch was completed. Police are releasing the image in hopes it assists with a positive identification.
The male is described as being between the ages of 20 and 25, 5'9" in height, and 142 lbs. He has short, curly black hair and brown eyes, and has no visible scars, marks, or tattoos.
