A man is facing charges after fleeing from police earlier this morning.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., August 13, 2025, patrol officers observed a vehicle travelling westbound on 11th Street, disobey a stop sign at Avenue W. When officers turned around to attempt a traffic stop, the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The Air Support Unit was able to locate the vehicle and tracked it to Highway 60 and Township road 360. Two people exited the vehicle and attempted to hide in nearby bushes, however ASU directed ground units to their location and both were taken into custody.

A 37-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving and Evade Police.

A female was later released without charges.
