One man was arrested following a weapons investigation last night.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on August 13, 2025, police were called to an establishment in the 1300 block of 8th Street East for a report of a man in possession of a firearm. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had shown the firearm to the establishment’s security guard during a confrontation; he then fled the area. The suspect was located a short time later and arrested; he was found to be in possession of an imitation firearm and fentanyl.

As a result, the 26-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, assault with a weapon, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
