A 39 year old Saskatoon man is being treated in hospital following an assault and stabbing that occurred last night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., August 17, 2025, Police were called to the area of 22nd Street West and 1st Avenue to an initial report of a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, a witness told officers that they witnessed three or four males in ski masks assaulting another male. The suspects and victim left the scene before police arrived.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., August 18, 2025, officers responded to a report of an injured man laying in the street at 1st Avenue and 21st Street East. Upon arrival, they located a man suffering from a stab wound and matching the description of the victim in the earlier incident. He was transported to hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.

Police are continuing to investigate.
