Police are investigating following a stabbing yesterday.

At approximately 9:15 a.m. on August 20, 2025, police were called to the 3400 block of 8th Street East for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from several stab wounds; he was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of his injuries. Further investigation found that the stabbing had occurred in the 100 block of Leland Terrace.

The suspect was not located but is believed to be known to the victim. Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
