A 27 year old Prince Albert woman is facing several charges following an assault on a 75 year old woman and a police officer yesterday.

At approximately 5:10 p.m., August 21, 2025, Police were called to a community garden in the 3100 block of Arlington Avenue. The 75 year old woman reported that she had been gardening when she was approached by an unknown woman who began assaulting her with a gardening tool. The suspect then fled on foot. Police were able to locate the suspect in a nearby tree line and bring her into custody. The victim was transported to hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was transported to the Saskatoon Police Service and was being booked into detention when a female Special Constable was punched in face, requiring hospital treatment for a minor physical injury.

The 27 year old woman is now facing charges of; Aggravated Assault, Assaulting a Peace Officer, Breach of Undertaking and Breach of Probation. It was found that she was also wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest in Prince Albert.
