A youth male was arrested following a walkthrough of a mall yesterday afternoon.

At around 3:00 p.m. on August 27, 2025, officers conducting a proactive walkthrough of a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South observed a youth male known to be banned from the shopping centre. Upon speaking with him, an officer observed something being concealed on the youth’s hip; further investigation determined the youth to be in possession of a loaded imitation firearm.

As a result, the 15-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
