Two teens are facing charges following an armed robbery using bear spray last night.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., August 28, 2025, Police were called to the bus mall in the 300 block of 23rd Street East. Two girls, ages 12 and 16 reported that they were approached by another group of teens who assaulted one of them with bear spray and stole a purse from the other one. Officers located three youth matching the suspect descriptions at 22nd Street and 1st Avenue and brought them into custody.

A 14 year old male is now facing charges of Assault With a Weapon and Armed Robbery. A 15 year old girl is facing charges of Possession of a Prohibited Device (bear spray) and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (bear spray).
