One man was transported to hospital following an assault last night.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on September 3, 2025, police were called to a report of an injured person in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim suffering from an injury to his head. A Sergeant began providing first aid and the victim was later transported to hospital by paramedics. Further investigation determined that the victim was on his privately-owned bus when an unknown man approached him, entered the bus, and asked for change; when the victim declined, the suspect struck him multiple times in the head with a metal object. The suspect then fled the area.

Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
