A man and a woman are facing charges following a firearms investigation by the SPS Guns & Gangs Unit.
Shortly before 3:00 p.m., January 28 2025, members of the Guns & Gangs Unit, with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, arrested of a 41-year-old male and a 34-year-old female in the 100 block of Avenue Q South. A search warrant was later conducted at a residence in the area that resulted in the seizure of two modified prohibited firearms and several other weapons, including bear spray and knives.
The man and woman are facing a total of 13 weapons-related charges, including Possession of Dangerous Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Careless Storage of Firearm, Prohibited Possession of Firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm and Ammunition, and Unauthorized Possession of Firearm.
