Shortly after 1:30 a.m. on August 30, 2025, members of the SPS Guns and Gangs Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of 20th Street East and 1st Avenue South resulting in the arrests of three persons and the following evidentiary seizures;
- Roger SR22 .22 calibre rifle
- $2,356 CAD
As a result, a 20-year-old man has been charged with four firearms-related offences and was found to have three outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was transported to SPS Detention where he was seen before a Justice of the Peace and remanded for court on September 4, 2025. The two other arrested persons were released without charges.
