Arrest - Traffic Stop - Circle Drive And 33rd Street West

One man is facing charges following a traffic stop early this morning.

At around 2:15 a.m. on September 5, 2025, police observed a vehicle known to be involved in an earlier theft from a motor vehicle. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle began to evade at a high rate of speed. Officers positioned themselves and successfully deployed a tire deflation device; bringing the vehicle to a stop in a parking lot in the 300 block of Circle Drive. Two suspects then fled the vehicle; one into a nearby establishment and the other towards Cynthia Street. Both were arrested a short time later.

As a result, a 48-year-old man has been charged with operating a motor vehicle being pursued by police, operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner, theft over $5000, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions. A 33-year-old woman who had also been arrested was later released without charges.
