Police are investigating following a series of suspicious vehicle fires early this morning.
At around 2:45 a.m. on September 5, 2025, police were called to the 1700 block of Saskatchewan Avenue for a report of multiple vehicles on fire. Upon arrival, officers observed four vehicles on fire. Members of the Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) attended and extinguished the fire.

Just after 4:00 a.m. on September 5, 2025, police were called to the 500 block of Rusholme Road for a report of a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, members of the SFD were extinguishing the fire.

Also at around 4:00 a.m. on September 5, 2025, police received another report of a vehicle on fire in the 300 block of Avenue G North. Members of the SFD attended and extinguished the fire. A police service dog was used in an attempt to locate a suspect; however, did not produce any positive results.

Shortly before 5:00 a.m. on September 5, 2025, police were called to the 1100 block of Avenue C North for a report of another vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, members of the SFD were extinguishing the fire.

Tow trucks were required to remove several burnt vehicles from the scenes. No injuries were reported to police as a result of the fires. Each of the fires is suspicious in nature and an SPS arson investigator is now investigating in coordination with a fire investigator from the SFD.
