A man is facing charges after failing to stop for police and being in possession of a loaded rifle over the weekend.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., September 6, 2025, police officers initiated a traffic stop at Central Avenue and 108th Street West, however the vehicle immediately fled from police and was observed disobeying traffic signals. The SPS Air Support Unit was able to acquire the vehicle and relayed to patrol units the vehicle had stopped in the 100 block of Kellins Crescent. ASU observed the driver exit the vehicle and attempt to hide in between two houses; he was taken into custody by a police service dog.

Further investigation of the vehicle located a loaded sawed-off rifle.

A 47-year-old male is facing 10 weapons-related charges. (Court Info # 991315063)
