A woman is facing charges after biting a Saskatoon Police officer early this morning.

Shortly after 12:00 a.m., September 8, 2025, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing property damage and refusing to leave a hotel in the 100 block of Circle Drive North. A woman was located and taken into custody for public intoxication. Upon arriving at SPS Detention, the woman refused to obey officer directions, and while attempting to place her in a cell, she bit an officer.

The member was transported to hospital for treatment.

The 23-year-old female is charged with Assaulting a Police Officer. (Court Info # 991315191)
